Julianna Jean the Eating Machine

Some people eat to live, and some people live to eat. For others? Eating is Entertainment!!!!
I never cease to be amazed by how Julie eats...and WHAT she eats!
She just snarfed up all this raw oatmeal like there was no tomorrow while I was trying to bake granola! Julianna likes most of her food raw...
I think she's pretending to be some kind of animal here. A piggy?
"It's good Mom, try it!"

How could any Mom ever be mad at a face like that?
My attitude is usually, "Anything to keep that girl happy!"

My Easter Miracle

The night before Easter, I went outside to find what I thought was a dead baby bunny. It had hopped out of it's mamma's cage and had gotten too cold. It looked dead...it felt dead...cold and stiff. (This grosses me out..I could never be a vet or doctor.) But when I went to touch it...it moved...barely. So I rushed it inside and wrapped it up in warm towels and warm water bags...and after about an hour or so of changing the warm water and massaging it...it was like it came back to life! It was a night of joy for me. Saving a life was so beautiful. And it felt like my own special Easter miracle to remember the beauty and precious joys of life. All life is precious...even a newborn weak baby bunny. I felt surrounded by God's peace and love as I thought of Jesus Christ on that Easter Morn!

Dallas High School Drama

Our High School Drama here in Dallas is the best in our entire Region! The kids are so talented, and the directors do a fantastic job of helping them be their best. As a family, we try to see every play they put on...and have never been disappointed! Here is Dorathy with a friend who was one of the puppies in 101 Dalmations. In addition to musicals and other plays, the Theater class does a kid show each semester and puts it on free for all the children in Dallas. All my kids were spell bound by the wonderful performance.

Did you know that Dallas, Texas and Dallas, Oregon were named for the same man? The Vice President under James. K. Polk...Mr. Dallas.
So, we're sister cities! One has several million residents, the other about 15,000...but we're about the same age and no we were NOT named after Dallas. I still think it's amusing that Scott and both came from Dallas, TX to Dallas, OR!

Go Dragons!
