The Oregon State Fair 2011

All through the year my children look forward to the Oregon State Fair! Angel in the middle of winter would casually ask, "Is it time for the fair...YET?" Then when it finally comes, they all say, "It's already here? Wow...that came fast!" I'm always sad when it's time for the fair because it means that Summer is almost over!

All the kids got their pictures taken with Smokey the Bear...except for Christopher who was too grown up for that kind of thing.

Julianna surprised me in that she wasn't frightened at all...she thought the bear was fun.

Posted by PicasaAll the kids made name tags on wooden circles.
Examining the animals

They had different kind of animal fur to touch.

When we go someplace really crowded having matching T-shirts and name tags really helps! :)

Our family tradition is to see the animals first, then wash up and get HUGE ice cream cones.

This year I bought gigantic ice cream cones for everyone. Julianna and Angel got too full to finish theirs, but everyone else did pretty good!

The sun came out and made the ice cream get really melty.

We got great seats for the Chinese Acrobat show, which was my favorite part of the fair.
The Daddy look.

I did have to help Julianna out by taking a few licks of her ice cream cone to prevent the whole thing from falling on her shirt. Sometimes a mother's job is so hard!
