Rainy Day Adjustments

In the summer, Julianna prefers to live outdoors! So do most of my kids. When the rainy whether finally hit, she just didn't know what to do with herself. When she woke up in the morning, her first words were, "Outside? Outside?" When it got cool and rainy, I was always shooing her back inside whenever someone opened a door. Finally at one point she got past me. She ran out in her socks and exclaimed out in shock, "Cold! Wet! BRRRR!" After that, she was happier to stay inside. But it took a while for her to adjust. Back to days of legos and making forts and less trampoline parties. Our trampoline is breaking, anyway.
Here the girls have made up a new game. It's called "Walk the Dog...in the House!" Poor Lucy is a good sport while the kids take turns running up and down the hallway with her. It's hilarious to watch. :)
Messy face! Julianna is definitely a gal who likes to take charge of things.
You can't tell in this picture, but Angel has one gray front tooth.

This year Dorathy gets to take her little sister, Courtney, to art lessons with her! The girls are having a fabulous time there with art and making new friends.

Christopher turned 12 and graduated from Primary! The Sunday after his birthday, he was ordained a deacon in the Aaronic Priesthood. He was so excited the night before, he said he couldn't sleep. He got to participate in his last Primary Children's Sacrament Program, and pass the Sacrament for the first time all on the same Sunday! Wow, what a memory!
In Celebration, his Teacher made him a gigantic "Candy Bar Poster" with cute sayings and LOTS of candy. Christopher was so thrilled since we don't keep sugar in the house. He single handedly ate all of them and made himself very sick that week! I think he got a cold as a result of a sugar-depressed immune system.
